Please choose 3-4 days in the term to help with set-up/pack-up and 3-4 days to supervise a session. \nThe easiest option is for those with kids in the first sessions to choose Set-up, those with kids in the last sessions to choose Pack-up and those who are there in between to choose Pack-up and Grounds monitor. \nAnd if you sign up to assist in sessions your kids are doing, you'll get to help out and see them shine all at the same time! \nThanks in advance for your efforts. As long as everyone pitches in to help, we'll get it done. Thanks a million! \n

\n \n \n \nWho is welcome at the Hub?\nWe welcome all homeschooling families! Children of all ages are welcome, though activities are organised for school-aged children. Activities that have specific age or ability requirements will be clearly stated in the description above. \nWhat time should I arrive?\nPlease arrive by 9:50 am to start at 10:00 am sharp. \nIf you're on set up duty, please arrive by 9:40am. \nIs there onsite parking?\nYes. There's lots of parking at the venue and plenty of on street parking if you prefer. \nAs we’ll have many small children onsite, we’ll close the gates at 10:00 am when sessions start. If you wish to enter or leave the parking after that time, PLEASE CLOSE THE GATES to keep all our kids safe. Thanks! \nWhat should I do when I arrive?\nSign in on the attendance list at the entrance. (This is important as it's a condition of our insurance.) \n
If you bring a visitor, write their name on the Visitors List. \nWhat should I bring?\n
What will be provided?\nFor most sessions, our mentors will provide the materials required for their session. If they need you to bring anything, they’ll let you know the week before. \nWe have a tea station in the kitchen so please help yourself to tea anytime. \nCan I bring siblings?\nYes, children who aren't signed up for activities can play outside while sessions are in progress. If you have multiple children in your care, please think about the logistics of your day. You may need to give hands on help to one of your children in a session or help out as a session supervisor. In this case, if you're unable to supervise your other child(ren), you must designate another adult to care for your child(ren) so they are supervised during the whole day. \nDo parents need to stay?\nYes. It's a condition of our insurance and venue hire agreement that parents/carers need to be in close proximity to their children, whether it be in the hall or just outside and remain responsible for their children at all times. Your child's safety and behaviour is your responsibility at all times. If a child is not in a class, they are ALWAYS to be under the direct supervision of their parent or another designated adult who is aware that they are responsible for the child. \nHow can I help?\nOnce bookings are finalised, we’ll ask you to select tasks you're happy to do to help out during the term. You should only need to help on 2-3 days of the term. Sharing the load of small tasks makes a big difference. \nTasks include: \n
Are there venue rules at Karingal?\n
Have another question?\nIf you have any other questions, just email maranahub@gmail.com and we'll get back to you right away. \n |
